Wills Registry: NOTE: THE OLD FIRM KNOWN AS Barnard & Co at Filton ,47 High Street (central Bristol) , and Downend  offices closed on the 1/10/2008.There is no successor practice. Wills made by that Firm between 1st of September 1997 to 1st of October 2008 have been received by us at 1/11/08 and catalogued ,and letters of notification have been sent to each Testator/rix using the address shown on the Will. A large number have been returned not known at this address. People may have moved on without notifying a change of address. If you know of someone who used Barnard & Co please pass the information on.

Own and control  your HIP . Estate Agent prepared HIPS belong to the Agent who charge exit fees if you want to change to other Agents or you buy another HIP. A solicitor prepared HIP belongs to you, our client, so you have freedom to choose. A solicitor prepared HIP is usually cheaper than the Agents outsourced remote agency.

HIPS: As Solicitors we are the preferred proficient providers of HIPS. The essential element to understand is that the sale contract is not part of the HIP. Only we as qualified lawyers can draft this. The buyers solicitor is not interested in the HIP. He needs a full Contract Pack from the sellers solicitor not an incomplete , out of date or non updated copy HIP  that needs to be supplemented  and corrected . Once you have found a buyer  the transaction is  much quicker , more efficient and smoother  if we have prepared your HIP in the first place. NON Lawyer HIPS cannot do this.  We can then issue a quality full Contract Pack and speed up the process. Ask our advice BEFORE you market.
